Formally called our “Production Number”, the two ensemble groups allow our Shining Lights dancers a chance to work in a large ensemble with many different age groups.  Shining Lights may participate in one or both ensembles.

Ballet Ensemble:

This ballet piece will rehearse on Mondays from 4:30-5:00 with Miss Andrea. Ballet Ensemble is open to any Shining Light from the Building Level through Level E who is concurrently enrolled in a ballet class.

Tap Ensemble:

This tap piece will rehearse on Tuesdays from 7:00-7:30 with Miss Faye. Tap Ensemble is open to any Shining Light from the Building Level through Level E who is concurrently enrolled in a tap class.

Our children’s theater program is designed to be an outreach program to the community.  Leap of Faith students will rehearse a short play, assist in designing sets and costumes and then perform the play in the community as well as to children in under-resourced communities.  We are thrilled to partner with places such as Joliet District 86, the Joliet Public Library and Plainfield’s Bonnie McBeth Early Learning Center.

The theater class runs approximately 12 weeks in the fall and 12 weeks in the spring.  Students will need to register for the fall and spring sessions separately.  Rehearsal and performance schedules will be given out in class within the first few weeks.
