Letitia Kowalski, Dance Instructor, Shining Lights Choreographer

Letitia’s dance background includes ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, pointe, modern, lyrical, and tumbling.  She values a solid understanding of the basics of dance in order for each dancer to reach their potential.

Zion, IL under the tutelage of Becki Sadomytschenko and Nancy Sommers.  While at Studio B, Letitia was given the opportunity to apprentice under Becki as a student teacher, which eventually led to her becoming a teacher for students aged three to adult.  As a student of Studio B, Letitia attended many workshops in the Midwest led by professional dancers from across the country, as well as, compete for the studio’s competition team.  Letitia continued to teach at Studio B while attending Millikin University, where she majored in Elementary Education and minored in Dance.  While at Millikin University, Letitia was a member of the Baby Blue Pom Pon Squad and a dancer/choreographer for pieces that were performed at the Dance Concerts held throughout the year.  Upon graduating from Millikin, Letitia worked for the Kankakee School District where she was the Dance Department Head for the Fine Arts Magnet School.  Letitia has taught for local park districts and studios in the area, and feels very blessed to have been given the opportunity to take what she has learned over the years and share this gift with the students at Leap of Faith.
